We are pleased to announce the publication of Tina’s short story “Dash” in “Champion Fellas“, an anthology on Malaysian Sports Writing, which features the winning entries of the D.K. Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence plus writing by prominent invitees.
“Dash” received the runner-up prize for this Award in November 2015.
The anthology was judged and edited by Dipika Mukherjee and Sharon Bakar, and contains works of fiction and non-fiction by Farah Hanna Alkaf, Saras Manickam, Marc de Faoite, Anand Krishnan, Angeline Woon, Masturah Alatas, Lai Meng Foong, Sarah Lee, Zed Adam Idris, Rozlan Mohd Noor,Carol Pang, Joon Teoh, Shaqila Munisamy, veteran sportsman Tony Mariadass, and journalists Rehman Rashid and Lionel Yew. It will be available for sale in Malaysian book stores in March 2016.

We are pleased to announce that Tina Isaacs’s short story “Dash” was conferred the Runner-Up Prize of the 2015 D.K. Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence on 28 November 2015, at the George Town Literary Festival, 2015 in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.
The D. K. Dutt Memorial Award For Literary Excellence was established in 2015, to reward the spirit of creative thinking and respect for sportsmanship fostered by D.K.Dutt in his role as a renowned Malaysian educator..
Delip Kumar Dutt (1929-2015) was an educator and an avid sportsperson; he taught at St. Paul’s Institution (Seremban) and was the Principal of CYMA College (Penang). He was also the President of the Schools Sports Council of Malaysia and many of his former students represented Malaysia in sports, especially hockey and athletics, at international competitions.
The winners and long listed stories/essays will be featured in the next anthology of Malaysian Sports Writing intended to be published by WordWorks in March 2016. Follow Tina’s story page at Dash to keep updated on the anthology’s release.
We are pleased to announce that Tina Isaacs’s short story, Undercover in Tanah Firdaus which was first published in the Fixi Novo anthology Cyberpunk: Malaysia was chosen to be featured in the Science Fiction Short Story collection of the 2015 SciFi Film Festival.
The 2015 SciFi Film Festival is an international festival based in Parramatta, Australia, dedicated to exploring and celebrating the science fiction and fantasy genres, their films and pop culture.

On 28th November, at this year’s George Town Literary Festival, the Judges will be announcing the finalists and winners for this year’s award, as well as the full line up of stories to make up the D.K. Dutt Memorial Award anthology which will be published by Word Works next year.
Tina and other writers longlisted for the D.K. Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence 2015 will also be reading an excerpt of their stories/essays before an audience.
